Christmas Hand Outs

Check out these fun little holiday gift tags I made!

I also made some name tags for my daughter's preschool goodie bags!
And just thought I would share these little cuties I made for my daughter's preschool Christmas party.

Although I modified them slightly and tried brownie centers (very yummy!), I still think I need to thank Bakerella for the inspiration!

Olivia's First Birthday Party

I was asked to help with a sweet baby girl's first birthday party. Mom and Grandma wanted a primarily pink theme with a little green and yellow. Here's the finished product. We went for pink paper lanterns and 1 bright yellow pom in the center for fun. I made the cake, cupcakes, and cake pops and picked up those adorable pink meringue cookies in the jar at Safeway! Those, along with finding the French Berry Lemonades at 75% off totally made my day! Angela (grandma) made her white chocolate covered pretzels and filled a few jars with the pink and white frosted animal cookies. Such a cute idea! But I think the sweetest moment of all was watching her hand pick JUST the pink and yellow sprinkles out of a multi-colored sprinkle pack for the sugar cookies. That's one grandma that loves her baby!

Do these printables look familiar? Kim at TomKat Studio made them and offered them as a FREE printable. We used the adorable butterflies from her Mother's Day collection, then added Olivia's name to some others. You can see more of Kim's work at her etsy shop !

Meet Your New Favorite Salad

When my friend Kelly brought this beautiful (and delicious) salad to our girls group Christmas dinner party I just knew I had to have the recipe! I'm so glad she has been kind enough to share it with us!

What you need:

1 red, orange, yellow and green bell pepper
1 red onion
1 cucumber
1 tomato (I left the tomato out)
1 lemon
feta cheese
1 packet of Greek salad dressing mix (I couldn't find a Greek salad dressing so I substituted with Garlic and Herb)
red wine vinegar and oil

First, mix your oil and vinegar with your dressing mix and place in the freezer, then start chopping: bell peppers, onion, cucumber and tomato. Squeeze lemon juice over veggies to taste
Toss into a bowl. Add feta cheese and dressing just before serving. I didn't put a quantity on the cheese because everyone is different. As for me, pile it on!
This was definitely the hit of the party and added a beautiful splash of color to the table!

Thank you Kelly for this delicious recipe that is sure to be a regular on my table!
